Frequently asked questions
How does email verification work?+
For each address we check the syntax, look up the domain’s mail servers (MX), and open a real SMTP conversation to ask whether the mailbox exists - without ever sending an email. We also flag catch-all domains, disposable providers and role-based addresses.
How accurate is it?+
We verify at the SMTP level from dedicated, well-warmed IPs and detect catch-all domains so you’re not misled by servers that accept everything. Addresses we genuinely can’t resolve are marked “unknown” and never charged.
Will verifying hurt my sender reputation?+
No. Verification never sends mail to your contacts. It only queries mail servers, which is invisible to recipients.
What do I get back?+
A cleaned file of deliverable addresses plus separate files for every category (valid, invalid, catch-all, disposable, unknown). Your original columns are preserved with status and reason appended.
